Gonda: The Primary Teachers’ Association, Gonda, organised an educational development seminar and organisational expansion programme at the Block Resource Centre in Wazirganj on Wednesday under the direction of the Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers’ Association.
The programme also witnessed the formation of a new block-level team, with the office-bearers declared elected unopposed by observer Pushkar Tiwari, president of the Belsar unit, and election officer Dileep Kumar.
Santosh Singh was elected president, while Ravindra Shukla was named general secretary and Suman Kaushal treasurer. Ram Basant Singh was elected senior vice-president, while Arun Gautam and Vinay Yadav were appointed organisation ministers.
Madhulata Singh, J.P. Tiwari, Ashutosh Pandey and Ehsan Rasool were elected vice-presidents. Ramesh Kumar was appointed media in-charge and Murtaza Hasan publicity minister.
The programme was attended by former Upper Primary Teachers’ Association president Sushil Kumar Mishra, district president Sharad Kumar Singh, district treasurer Devendra Pratap Singh and district secretary Ashish Dwivedi.
Several block-level office-bearers and representatives, including Mohit Dwivedi, Kuldip Singh, Jitendra Kumar Verma, Baljeet Kumar Verma, Gaurav Singh, Swaminath Upadhyay, Ashutosh Dwivedi and Shiv Chandra Verma, were also present.
Hundreds of teachers from the development block participated in the programme. The seminar focused on educational improvement, organisational strengthening and issues concerning the teaching community.
